Decoding socio-cultural trends to develop a five-year strategic action plan for the development of a luxury brand in the United States

Sujet

A French luxury goods company wanted to strengthen its position in the US market by accelerating its development, while diversifying its offering and adapting to local specificities.

Need

How can you establish a lasting presence in the highly competitive US market? How can you identify key cultural trends, prioritize strategic targets, and adapt your offering, communication, and distribution to accelerate brand growth over the next five years?

Steps

After 10 internal interviews (senior management, product, CSR, digital, communications, retail) and analysis of strategic documents, we conducted an in-depth market study: assessing business potential by product category, competitive analysis, macro and micro socio-cultural trends, profiling HNWI customers, and defining personas. These insights fed into a collaborative workshop bringing together 24 employees to co-develop a roadmap and a five-year action plan.

Developing future-thinking scenarios to define the long-term development strategy for a player in the luxury tourism sector

Sujet

An international player in the luxury tourism sector wanted to inform its long-term strategic plan by exploring major global trends and their potential impact by 2040.

Need

How can we anticipate the demographic, economic, climatic, and cultural transformations that will reshape global tourism flows? How can we ensure that the decisions taken today are robust in the face of an uncertain future, and identify new opportunities to rethink the offering and the economic model?

Steps

We conducted a prospective study based on a PESTEL analysis of 88 macro-trends, 22 of which were analyzed in depth. Five prospective scenarios were developed to explore different possible futures, each enriched with concrete solutions tailored to the client and validated through interviews with researchers and industry experts. To make these futures tangible and engaging, we used design fiction, bringing the scenarios to life through immersive narratives. This work helped to identify priority areas for action aligned with the company's strategic pillars.

Result

A future-thinking vision structured around five scenarios and 14 concrete solutions, narrated through design fiction to stimulate strategic thinking.
A “Checklist for the Future,” identifying major trends and weak signals to watch, as well as priority strategic projects to prepare for the development of the tourism model by 2040.

Supporting a mutual banking group in redefining its relationship model through the lens of emerging practices in the digital age

Sujet

A large mutual banking group wanted to redefine its relationship model at a time when digital technologies are profoundly transforming customer relations and new players are shaking up the market with aggressive acquisition strategies.

Need

Rethink the relational promise of a leading bank, reconciling the contribution of digital technology with human values.

Redefine proximity and clarify the role of physical locations in a context of changing practices.

Translate this vision into a distinctive relational promise that is aligned with the brand identity.

Steps

We conducted an exhaustive benchmarking study of the relationship promises made by direct competitors, players in related sectors, and inspiring brands, then positioned these models on a map inspired by Jung's archetypes. These analyses enabled us to identify different possible roles and their strategic implications. From there, we worked with client teams to co-develop several relational promise scenarios (promise, pillars, evidence), enriched by expert feedback. Finally, a summary of the discussions served as the basis for a final recommendation, embodying a unique and ambitious vision of customer relations.

Result

A new relationship model structured around a clear promise, distinctive pillars, and concrete evidence, aligned with the group's identity and strategic ambitions.

An inspiring vision to reaffirm the uniqueness of customer relationships and guide future organizational and operational transformations.

Engaging a major French banking group in the daily embodiment of its employer promise through concrete and innovative HR initiatives.

Sujet

A major French banking group wanted to strengthen its employer brand and tangibly embody its promise to employees and candidates by translating its new strategic vision into real-life experiences through concrete and innovative HR practices.

Need

Make the employer promise tangible for all employees and candidates through innovative management practices, new rituals, and the introduction (or reaffirmation) of concrete symbols.

Develop inspiring initiatives that are consistent with the group's identity and capable of meeting the challenges of attracting and retaining talent in the long term.

Steps

After a series of internal HR interviews to analyze the current perception of the culture and internal engagement drivers, we facilitated two sprint ideation workshops. The first generated more than 50 ideas to bring the employer brand to life, while the second prioritized and refined them based on feasibility criteria. Four key ideas were then explored in greater depth and transformed into operational concepts, complemented by a major forward-looking idea around senior talent. Finally, the proposals were linked to a coherent narrative thread, directly linked to the group's long-term strategy.

Result

A portfolio of concrete, prioritized initiatives, including 10 detailed concept sheets and a prioritization matrix distinguishing between quick wins and long-term actions.

Additional forward-thinking on the use of experienced profiles to enhance the employer brand and anticipate future developments.

A solid foundation to embody the employer promise in the long term and enhance the group's attractiveness.

Entertainment / Future

Anticipate the opening of online casinos in France by developing strategic deployment options tailored to a long-standing gaming operator.

Sujet

A major player in entertainment and gaming wanted to anticipate the potential opening of the French online casino market in order to assess its business potential and explore different options to identify its positioning strategy.

Need

How can you prepare for the hypothetical legalization of online casinos in France? How can you avoid losing customers to digital competitors while attracting new audiences? How can you define a business strategy and brand positioning that allows you to remain true to your heritage while investing in an emerging digital market?

Steps

We conducted an in-depth analysis combining: interviews with executives and internal experts, a review of official reports on the market and its challenges, an international benchmark of markets that have already been legalized (United States, Italy, Denmark, etc.), and an analysis of existing offerings. At the same time, a quantitative and qualitative survey conducted with a partner institute enabled us to poll more than 1,300 players in France and Switzerland. We identified the expectations, motivations, and behaviors of potential future players, created six “extreme user” personas, and modeled the business impact of different scenarios. Based on this data, two strategies were developed, accompanied by three brand positioning proposals.

A clear quantification of the potential of the online casino market and its impact on existing business.
Two contrasting strategies, defensive and offensive, enabling the group to inform its strategic choices based on legislative developments.
Three brand positioning scenarios, supported by a clear narrative, to support marketing and ensure consistency with the player's historical heritage.
